We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions we receive about our custom leather patch hats. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact us directly!
1. What materials are used for the leather patches?
Our leather patches are made from high-quality leatherette, which is strong and lasting. The leatherette will be securely bonded to the hat, ensuring that it does not come off. If there is an issue with the patch, we will gladly work with you to resolve it.
2. Can I customize my leather patch?
Yes! We offer full customization for your leather patch hats. You can upload your logo directly as you go to purchase, or you can email us afterward with your design. Once you purchase your hat, we will send you a mockup file to confirm your design before proceeding with production.
Please note: If we do not receive a response to the approval email within 3 business days, we will begin processing your order as-is.
3. How do I care for my leather patch hat?
To keep your hat looking great, avoid getting it wet. Do not put the hat in the wash. Instead, use a dry brush or a damp soft cloth to clean the leather patch.
4. What sizes do your hats come in?
Our hats come in a "one size fits most" design. We are currently working on expanding our sizes to include youth and XL options. Stay tuned for updates!
5. How long does it take to receive my custom order?
Processing times can vary depending on availability. Sometimes we experience high demand and run low on stock, and we may offer preorder or backorders. If materials are in stock, you can expect a 1-2 week timeframe for our McGinnis-made hats. For Richardson hats, the turnaround time may take longer. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships.
6. Do you offer refunds or exchanges on custom hats?
Since all custom hats are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless there is an error on our part, such as a defect or cosmetic issue with the leather patch. Please contact us directly for assistance with any concerns.
7. What should I do if my order hasn’t arrived or is damaged?
If your order has not arrived within two weeks after shipping (excluding preorders or backorders) or if there are any issues with your hat (e.g., defective leather patch or damage during shipping), please contact us immediately at mcginnismadeco@gmail.com. We will work with you to resolve the situation, which may include a refund or replacement.
8. Can I order multiple hats with different designs?
Yes! We have no minimum order requirements. Feel free to order as many hats as you’d like, each with a different design.
9. How do I place a custom order?
Simply choose the hat, leather color, and patch shape you’d like, then upload your logo directly in the hat listing. After you make your purchase, we will send you a personal email with a mockup for you to approve. Upon approval, we’ll begin processing your order. If we do not receive a response to the approval email within 3 business days, we will proceed with the order as-is.
10. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments via Shop Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and all major credit cards.
